Tesla Safety Report: Factory injury rate far exceeds industry average

[Global Science and Technology Comprehensive Report] According to the British "Daily Mail" on May 25 news, recently, the US Automobile Workers Union (UAW) released a safety report shows that the accident rate of Tesla factory far exceeded the United States average .

Worksafe, which is concerned about factory labor conditions in the United States, used internal data from the Tesla plant in its survey, pointing out that 7.9 injuries occurred per 100 workers, and the industry average was only 3.9.

An employee report pointed out that Tesla’s workers work six days a week and change every half hour to half the class. Workers have fainting, dizziness, epileptic seizures, abnormal breathing or angina. In 2013, three workers were severely burned by aluminum water splashed at work.

The former employee of the American Automobile Workers Union (Frank Hammer) said: "At present, Tesla is in a steady development stage. However, increasing production also means putting more pressure on workers in the workshop."

Tesla responded that its factory's injury rate in the first quarter of 2017 has been greatly reduced. A company spokesperson said: "Although the company faces many challenges, we are changing and we will do better. Today, we have reduced the incidence of injury accidents to the industry's lowest."
