Fortune Chinese website and English website have released the "Fortune" 500 top 500 list in the world. According to the revenue rankings, Wal-Mart has topped the list. This is the fifth consecutive year that Wal-Mart has won the second place. Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Company ranks second. Apple, which ranks third in revenue, outperformed Wal-Mart and Berkshire Hathaway in terms of profit, ranked first in the profit chart and became the most profitable American Fortune 500 company.
With the exception of Apple, JPMorgan Chase ranked second in the profit list with a profit of US$24.733 billion; Berkshire Hathaway ranked third with a profit of US$24.074 billion. Among the top 10 most profitable companies on the list, apart from a biopharmaceutical and a tobacco company, the rest are technology and financial companies.
In addition to Apple, the other three US technology giants often compare with China’s BAT. The other two also performed well – Google’s parent company Alphabet rose from 36 to 27; recently opened the 7th store’s e-commerce giant Amazon Corp. jumped from 18 to 12.
Another noteworthy young company, Facebook, entered the top 100 company for the first time, jumping from 157 to 98. In addition, electric car company Tesla, which is concerned by Chinese users, entered the Fortune 500 for the first time, ranking 383th. Nvidia, which has attracted wide attention due to technologies such as artificial intelligence chips, entered the list for the first time, ranking it 387th. Dell’s return to the list after privatization was ranked 41st, up 10 places from the last time before leaving (2013). Yahoo, which is about to be included in Verizon’s revenue, is back in 498.
