Recently, Apple recruit two engineers were worked in the Oculus and Magic Leap, to further expand Apple's AR / VR field personnel.
One of them, Zeyu Li, once worked in Magic Leap for about 15 months and was responsible for computer vision related work. Now, Zeyu Li joins Apple as an advanced computer vision algorithm engineer. Zeyu Li graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. in the United States of California, Berkeley, the main research of artificial intelligence and computer vision.
The other is Yury Petrov, who has been working as a research scientist at Oculus since 2013 and left for Apple in June of this year, still working as a research scientist. Yury Petrov specializes in experimental psychology, human vision, head optics, and brain imaging.
The day before yesterday, Xiao Bian reported on Apple CEO Cook's view on AR/VR. Cooke said AR is more promising. Obviously, the newly recruited engineers are Cook's continued bets in the AR field.
