2012 China's color TV industry to pay a satisfactory answer

In 2012, China's color TV industry delivered a nice answer sheet: In 2012, color TV production will exceed 130 million; domestic color TV shipments have successfully surpassed Japanese companies; domestic color TV retail sales increased year-on-year, but retail sales fell 5% year-on-year .

In terms of shipments, the 2012 China Electronic Information Industry Economic Operations and Color TV Industry Research Conference data show that China's color TV retail market sold more than 43 million units in 2012, accounting for 20% of global TV sales, from shipments. In terms of sales, Vice President of China’s Electronic Video Industry Association, Bai Weimin, disclosed that from January to November 2012, China’s color TV output reached 125 million units, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%, and the annual TV production exceeded 130 million units. In addition, according to the latest calculation data of China's Yikang, in 2012, the total TV market in China will reach 42.8 million units, of which 18.75 million will be 3D TVs and 16.1 million will be smart TVs, accounting for 43% and 37% respectively. It is estimated that in 2013, 3D TV sales will reach 27.16 million units, and smart TV sales will reach 26.04 million units, which will increase by nearly 10 million units compared to 2012.

According to the monitoring data released by Ovid Consulting, in 2012, the retail sales of domestic color TV reached 42.628 million units, up 1.8% year-on-year, but retail sales were 148.28 billion yuan, down 5% year-on-year. Among them, LCD TV sales volume was 39.275 million units, up 5.9% year-on-year, and sales were 135.31 billion yuan, down 2.9% year-on-year. Plasma TV sales were 2,511,000 units, down 3.2% year-on-year, and sales were 11.98 billion yuan, down 17% year-on-year.
