BluFocus today released 360°eyeTracker, a virtual reality location tracking application that provides real-time user behavior analysis. For VR 360-degree video, it is very important to guide the audience's attention because it allows the audience to focus on the development of the main story. The 360°eyeTracker can track and record the position and direction of the user's head movement to identify the user's gaze point and infer the actual field of view. This can help BluFocus determine whether visual, tactile and audio cues can successfully guide the user's attention. Paulette Pantoja, executive director of BluFocus, told Xiao Bian: "The BluFocus 360° eyeTracker allows us to transfer data in multiple 2D and VR interactive reporting environments and generate heat maps. Then We can discover trends and understand which parts can, or can not, guide the audience in the way they expect. This is very valuable information for content developers." The 360° eyeTracker report can be viewed in a variety of ways: software that provides interactive control; real-time video in a 2D environment; and VR heads-up display. BluFocus' 360° eyeTracker application allows VR developers to differentiate between different users, or to differentiate users through various metrics such as gender and age. VR developers can also use the various information collected by the application to better render or pre-render graphics and make necessary changes to the audio as needed.
