The productization period has not yet been determined.

The white LED module shown here has a luminous efficiency of 33 lm/W, which is equal to or higher than the white LED currently on the market. In general, as the output power increases, the temperature inside the white light emitting diode module rises, so the luminous efficiency decreases. In addition, if the size of the light-emitting diode chip is increased, an electric field distribution is generated inside the chip, which also causes a decrease in luminous efficiency. In addition, Nichia Chemical Industry disclosed to the public for the first time a white LED module with a luminous efficiency of 50 lm/W. The company once disclosed the white LED module at the Society in early 2003. In a 5mm diameter shell-type package, the beam is 3.6lm when a +3.6V voltage is applied at 20mA. A blue light emitting diode chip of 300 micrometers by 300 micrometers and a yellow phosphor material are combined. The company used the white LED module as a lighting device to illuminate the booth (Figure 2).
