The Playroom VR will include six different virtual reality games designed for home entertainment and friends gatherings. In the beginning, the development team felt that it would be an impossible task to develop a VR game that would bring together loved ones or friends and share the same joy. Because once the VR player is immersed in the virtual world, he is isolated from the real world. Later, the development team found a breakthrough point, that is, if the PS4-connected TV screen can be integrated into VR, then this problem will be solved.
The development team then used the PlayStation Vita development kit and connected to the PS4 via Remote Play to load the same game. One frame is transmitted to the PSVR, and the other is transmitted to the PS Vita, and then the PS Vita is connected to the TV. The next step is to create a simple head model that matches the PSVR player's head movement. When the PSVR player performs head movements and looks around, other people can also see it on the TV screen. Finally, add some small characters that can be controlled using the Dualshock 4 wireless controller. The development team already has a prototype that allows up to 5 players to play at the same time.
