"Sanyo launches the industry's largest capacity 'No. 5 NiMH battery"

Sanyo Electric will release the Ni-MH 2100 series No. 5 nickel-hydrogen battery with a rated capacity of 2000mAh (nominal capacity of 2100mAh) and the charger for the battery "NC-M55/N-M55S" from September 21st. ". By combining the Ni-MH battery division of Toshiba Battery, which was acquired by the company in April 2001, and Sanyo Electric's own technology, the capacity has increased by approximately 25% over Sanyo Electric's previous products. In this product, technologies such as high-capacity cathode materials and anode materials using high-density filling technology are combined. The rated capacity of 2000mAh is "the largest capacity in the industry" (the company). This product is suitable for long-term driving digital cameras, portable MD players and portable devices such as handheld computers.

In line with the release of the "Ni-MH 2100 Series", the company will also release a charger for the battery (Figure 1: Battery and charger kits). It takes about 230 minutes to charge four “Ni-MH 2100 Series” batteries with this charger, and about 105 minutes for two. The charger is equipped with a newly developed MCU to prevent charging errors and overcharging. Applicable power supply voltage is 100V ~ 240V.

In addition, the company will also release the No. 7 series "Ni-MH 750 Series". The capacity of these products has also increased by approximately 8% compared to Sanyo Electric's previous products, and the rated capacity has reached 700mAh (nominal capacity of 750mAh). The recommended retail price (excluding tax) for the four-piece "Ni-MH 2100 Series" package is 2,200 yen (approximately RMB 138); the recommended retail price (excluding tax) for the packaged products of the above two products is 1100 yen (about 69 yuan). The price of the charger "NC-M55" is 4,600 yen (about 288 yuan), and the "N-M55S (can charge 4 batteries)" is 6,800 yen (about 425 yuan). The price of the set of four "Ni-MH 750 series" is 1800 yen (about RMB 112), and the package with two batteries is 900 yen (about RMB 56).
