How strong is the signal?

From my experience, -55 or more is basically a full signal, -75 or more is a signal that can be used (but not stable), -85 or more should be able to find the signal, but basically can not be used, then lower Even the signal cannot be searched.

I set the router to automatically convert the frequency band, priority connection 5G, in the absence of signal connection 2.4G, but the actual application will be able to connect 5G signal but the signal is very poor, basically can not access the Internet, but does not jump to 2.4 G's, this is ambiguous (Although jump conditions can be set, but it takes a little groping, I'm too lazy to get it.)
In use, only H point search less than the router 5G signal, so that some positions are paralyzed, connected to 5G but the signal is very poor, not jump 2.4G, helpless. After connecting the expander, the whole house 5G signal is basically not a big problem. However, the smoking department is still old and practical 2.4G signal.
V. SummaryIn fact, this is not a necessity for expanders, and more accurately, it is a lazy choice. Take my family's situation, speaking about the router placed in the current position of the extender, basically all positions can enjoy 5G signal (AC88U can bring with you). If you are not pursuing small size, using old routers to engage in, you can also achieve wireless expansion capabilities. Take a step back and say that setting the router frequency band jump is more reasonable, and the 2.4G working mode that automatically jumps in the weak signal area will not affect the use (this is the home and not the data center. More places where 5G speed is needed).
