Osram Opto Semiconductors (China) Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 250 million euros, is a major high-tech foreign investment project introduced by Wuxi New District in recent years. The project has entered the stage of installation of electromechanical equipment and is expected to be completed and put into operation in October this year.
On July 2, Huang Lixin, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, met with Aldo Kemp, CEO of the German OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Corporation, to discuss and speed up the project construction and deepen the cooperation.
Huang Lixin said that the OSRAM Opto Semiconductors project has filled the gap in Wuxi and Jiangsu in this industry and will play an active role in promoting the R&D, production and service level of the LED optoelectronic semiconductor industry in Wuxi. Since the signing of the project in Wuxi New District, with the joint efforts of both sides, various constructions have progressed smoothly and vigorously, and achieved remarkable results.
Aldo Camp said that the OSRAM Wuxi project is the Group's most important project and will contribute to the Group's global business expansion. It is hoped that the two sides will further cooperate and exchange closely and strive to build the OSRAM Wuxi plant into the most important base for the Group overseas.
