ADI's reconstruction filter ADA4424-6 integrates an on-chip charge pump and requires only a + 3.3V power supply, providing excellent component video characteristics for today's performance-driven consumer multimedia devices
Beijing, October 23, 2009 / PR Newswire Asia /-Analog Devices, Inc., the world ’s leading provider of high-performance signal processing solutions, has recently introduced a high-performance 6-channel video reconstruction filter (http: / / ADA4424-6), enabling designers of consumer media players and professional video systems (http: //) to easily filter and drive standard definition (SD) and even high definition (HD) video signals. The ADA4424-6 has three standard definition and three enhanced / high definition (ED / HD) channels. The frequency response is extremely flat and there is no peak at the 0.1dB passband, which is what 1080p HD media players and recorders require.
The brightness channel of the ADA4424-6 has 4 unique modes for detecting and eliminating DC input offset voltages up to 1.1V. No DC offset can be achieved at the output pins. ADA4424-6 fully supports the S1 / S2 defined by the EIA CPR-1202 specification and the D-type connector interface defined by the EIAJ CP-4120 standard.
The SD channel of this new filter has a flatness of 6.75 MHz and contains two 5th order Butterworth filters for SD filtering. The SD part also contains a set of built-in Y / C channels for composite video baseband signal output. The ED / HD channel is composed of three 5th-order Butterworth filters with a typical bandwidth of + 0.1dB gain flatness of up to 13.5MHz and 30MHz respectively.
The ADA4424-6 also integrates a charge pump, which allows the output swing to be 1.4V below ground level, thus eliminating the need for large coupling capacitors. The output driver of this filter provides a rail-to-rail output with a fixed gain of 6.2dB. Each output can simultaneously drive two double-ended 75-ohm cables. The filter / buffer part works on a single 3.3V power supply. The device includes a dedicated 5V power pin to support D-type connectors and S1 / S2 signaling.

Circular Connectors
Circular connectors, also called [circular interconnects," are cylindrical, multi-pin electrical connectors. These devices contain contacts that transmit both data and power. Cannon (now ITT Tech Solutions) introduced circular connectors in the 1930s for applications in military aircraft manufacturing. Today, you can find these connectors in medical devices and other environments where reliability is essential.
Circular Connectors is designed with a circular interface and housing to quickly and easily connect and disconnect signal, power, and optical circuits. Circular connectors are often preferred in military, aerospace, and industrial applications: these can be connected and disconnected without the use of coupling tools such as torque wrenches. Antenk`s circular connectors offer rugged solutions that have been engineered for reliable performance in a wide variety of harsh environment applications.
I/O connectors provide secure electrical contact and smooth, safe disconnect. They are used across a range of industries for communications devices, business equipment and computers. Top considerations when purchasing I/O connectors include pinout, gender, voltage rating, contact plating, and termination style.
Types of Circular Connectors
Circular connectors typically feature a plastic or metal shell surrounding the contacts, which are embedded in insulating material to maintain their alignment. These terminals usually pair with a cable, and this construction makes them especially resistant to environmental interference and accidental decoupling.
