The MAX8821 integrates a white LED charge pump, an audio amplifier and two low-noise LDOs controlled by an I2C control interface. High efficiency, adaptive mode inverting charge pump can drive up to 6 constant current LEDs. The LED current is controlled by an I2C interface and each LED can be adjusted from 0.1mA to 25.6mA. Each LED has an independent voltage. The internal temperature degradation function reduces the current by more than 40 degrees to protect the LED.
The MAX8821 features soft-start, overtemperature shutdown, open circuit and short-circuit protection and is available in a compact 28-pin ThinQFN4mmx4mm package.
