According to the notice of the first batch of electronic industry standard research plans of the Ministry of Information Industry in 2007 (Xinke Han [2007] No. 21), the Semiconductor Lighting Technology Standards Working Group (hereinafter referred to as the Standard Working Group) is responsible for drafting seven electronic industry standards (projects). The name and main contractor are listed in the attached table).
After more than a year of hard work, the project organizers drafted draft standards and solicited opinions in the standard working group. Some of the standards also sought opinions from the National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance Standardization Coordination Promotion Working Group. The project organizers revised the standards according to the feedback opinions, completed the standard drafts and related materials, and publicized them on the website of China Electronics Industry Standardization Technical Association to solicit opinions from all sectors of the society. After the end of the publicity period, no feedback was received from the China Electronics Industry Standardization Technical Association.
According to the relevant procedures established by the electronic industry standards, in late September, we organized relevant experts in the industry and held a standard validation meeting in Guiyang to review the seven standards. The meeting experts carefully and carefully reviewed the standards and made the following conclusions:
※The preparation of standards fulfills the relevant procedures for the preparation of electronic industry standards, and the documents for review are provided.
※ The standard is compiled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the national standard GB/T1.12000 "Standardization Work Guide Unit 1: Standard Drafting and Expression Rules Part 1: Basic Rules for Standard Preparation".
※The technical content of the standard is in line with China's actual and scientific and technological development direction; the technical regulations are advanced, safe, reliable, economic and reasonable; in line with China's laws, regulations and policies, it can be harmonized with relevant national standards, industry standards and standards at the same level.
The meeting experts also put forward some amendments and suggestions on these seven standards.
The meeting unanimously agreed to pass the validation of these seven standards. After the meeting, the standard preparation team will further modify and improve the draft for review according to the spirit of the meeting, and form the standard approval draft and its approval and report to the relevant departments.
The formulation of these seven standards has played a major role in the standard system of the sub-sector 2 (mainly including LED chips, LED devices, LED modules/components in the mid-chain of the industrial chain), and has played a role in promoting industrial development. Promote the role and play a certain guarantee role in regulating the market. At the same time, these seven standards also cover the upstream materials of the industry: substrate sheets and phosphors. The following is a brief introduction to these seven criteria:
1. Semiconductor lighting terminology: includes basic terms related to semiconductor lighting, optical measurement terminology, color measurement terminology, thermoelectric measurement terminology, epitaxy, chip, package and partial lighting application product terms and definitions, with more than 140 terms. The standard also sought the opinions of Taiwan through the platform of the Cross-Strait Information Industry Technical Standards Forum and compiled a draft of the lighting terminology for semiconductor lighting.
2. Sapphire substrate for GaN-based light-emitting diodes: parameters, test methods, geometric dimensions, test methods, quality assurance regulations, etc. of sapphire substrate sheets for gallium nitride-based light-emitting diodes are specified.
3. Phosphors for semiconductor light-emitting diodes: The performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of the phosphors for white light-emitting diodes are specified. The standard includes 5 grades of aluminate phosphors and 7 grades of silicate phosphors. For the newer nitride phosphors, the technology and production will be greatly improved. .
4. Technical specifications of power semiconductor light-emitting diode chips: Quality assurance procedures, test/inspection items and methods for high-power LED chips of 100 mA or more are specified.
5. Semiconductor light-emitting diode chip test method: including the test methods of the main parameters such as photometric, electrical, colorimetric, and thermal of the semiconductor light-emitting diode chip. Test block diagrams, test procedures, and test conditions are specified.
6. Semiconductor optoelectronic device small power LED blank detail specification: specifies the quality assurance procedures, test / inspection items and methods of LEDs with current below 100mA. Different from the conventional LED standards for display, the parameters related to illumination such as the dominant wavelength, color rendering index, correlated color temperature, and chromaticity coordinates of the colorimetric characteristics are supplemented.
7. Semiconductor light-emitting diode product series: specifies the standard series and varieties of visible light (including white) semiconductor light-emitting diodes, as well as guidelines for selection and application. Applications include indicator display, graphic and/or text display, decorative display/illumination, general illumination, and the like. The principle of selecting the spectrum of LED products is: the performance index is suitable for a variety of applications, has a large application range, and the structure, assembly and function are not repeated; the design of the produced varieties has been finalized, the materials and processes have been verified, and There are suitable quality control measures, good test and use experience; the varieties being developed and to be developed are the standard universal products needed for the development of semiconductor lighting.
In particular, in the standard for phosphors for semiconductor light-emitting diodes, the use of external quantum efficiency instead of relative brightness is first proposed as an evaluation index for evaluating the luminous efficiency of phosphors. Since each phosphor product has its own absolute external quantum efficiency value, it is not necessary to evaluate its advantages and disadvantages by comparison with standard phosphors during the test comparison, which simplifies the powder selection work and does not require the phosphor supply. Commercial and downstream users go to buy standard phosphors. At the same time, a test method for external quantum efficiency was developed.
