Avago launches Moonstone series of warm white high-power LEDs (Figure)

Avago Technologies announced the addition of 1W warm white LED products to the Moonstone high power LED family. Using one of the industry's thinnest packages, Avago's ASMT-MY00 LEDs provide solid-state lighting application designers with a robust and reliable package that provides high illumination while being easy to install and competitive. Avago's ASMT-MY00 is ideal for applications that require ultra-high brightness LEDs such as decorative lighting, garden lighting, work and reading lights, building lighting, accent lighting and signage.

Avago's ASMT-MY00 high-brightness LED package features a smooth illumination mode and a 110-degree viewing angle. It is an energy-efficient, energy-efficient device designed to withstand high operating temperatures and large drive currents. The exposed contact design, this 1W warm White light high power LEDs provide excellent thermal dissipation from the package to the board, allowing the ASMT-MY00 to drive up to 350mA. In addition, this LED can also provide illumination output of up to 56 lumens, resulting in luminous efficiency per watt of output lumens.

Due to its small design, it is ideal for these highly constrained applications. Avago's ASMT-MY00 LED offers two distinct advantages for manufacturers. These LEDs can be soldered using a traditional surface mount process to minimize cost, and the package meets the moisture sensitivity 2a rating of the Joint Electronics Engineering Committee. For manufacturers, this rating means that these LEDs can be placed at ambient temperature (30oC, 60% relative humidity) for up to four weeks after leaving the sealed package without removing the absorbed moisture before production.

With the addition of ASMT-MY00 warm white LEDs, Avago will be able to offer customers a more diverse selection of 1W high power LED products. In addition to warm white light, Avago also offers blue, green and cool white light 1W. Moonstone LED products.

Avago's ASMT-MY00 Moonstone LEDs are priced at $2.50 each in quantities of 10,000. Samples and production quantities are available through the company's direct sales channels and global distribution partners.

feature of product:

ASMT-MY00 surface mount package measures 8.5mm wide by 15.85mm long by 3.3mm high

The contact-exposure design provides low thermal resistance (10°C/W) between the LED chip contacts and the printed circuit board, which minimizes temperature rise and helps ensure long-term reliability of the device.

The LED chip is packaged with a silicon compound to ensure UV and high temperature exposure. The packaged LED can operate from -40 ° C to +95 ° C. It can withstand the ESD Association standard ESD STM 5.1 Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity Test Human Body Model. 16kV (class 3b) electrostatic discharge shock

Color temperature is between 2,600 and 4,000K

Typical overall illumination is 50 lumens (at 350mA forward current)

Pb-free environmentally friendly lead-free package and meets RoHs standards

D-Subminiature Connectors

The D-subminiature or D-sub is a common type of electrical connector. They are named for their characteristic D-shaped metal shield. When they were introduced, D-subs were among the smallest connectors used on computer systems.

A D-sub contains two or more parallel rows of pins or sockets usually surrounded by a D-shaped metal shield that provides mechanical support, ensures correct orientation, and may screen against electromagnetic interference. The part containing pin contacts is called the male connector or plug, while that containing socket contacts is called the female connector or socket. The socket's shield fits tightly inside the plug's shield. Panel mounted connectors usually have threaded nuts that accept screws on the cable end connector cover that are used for locking the connectors together and offering mechanical strain relief. Occasionally the nuts may be found on a cable end connector if it is expected to connect to another cable end. When screened cables are used, the shields are connected to the overall screens of the cables. This creates an electrically continuous screen covering the whole cable and connector system.

ANTENK offers one of the most comprehensive lines of high reliability D-Subminiature connectors available for military, avionics, space and high reliability industrial applications.
