Interpretation of the three major types of technology and services of intelligent networked cars

Before reading an article, first define two concepts:

1. Intelligent networked car refers to a vehicle that can access the Internet, has multiple sensors, can send and receive signals, sense the surrounding physical environment, and interact with other vehicles or entities.

2. Self-driving car means: no need for the driver to operate the self-driving vehicle, reducing transportation costs, improving convenience and safety (in most cases).

At present, the forecast we are talking about is mainly for intelligent networked cars, including a large number of technologies and services. We divide these technologies and services into three categories in the future:

• Consumer services. Consumer services, including Internet-based and cloud-based digital services, help drive the driving experience. These include general Internet services such as entertainment, e-commerce, social platforms and health (originally outside the car), which may still be provided by current service providers in the future. Others are "smart travel services" that are specifically for cars and are likely to be bundled with cars, including carpooling, car sharing and navigation related services (such as finding the nearest hotel and booking a room). Many leading car companies that produce and sell branded cars have invested heavily in innovation and M&A activities in these areas. But in the future, it will not be known what role the car will play in addition to being a necessary in-car interconnection service and screen supplier.

• Smart networked car service package. Intelligent networked cars use advanced technology to enhance car handling and bundle sales to commercial and retail buyers. At present, most of the equipment is built in the car, and the service can be enjoyed for a long time at a time, but in the future it may also be in the form of a subscription service (this is consistent with the idea of Chuanglai Technology ADAS founder Chen Mao), ADAS assisted driving becomes a service , monthly fee. In the end, however, intelligent network technology will become the standard for cars. For example, current security packages include automatic braking systems, collision avoidance systems, emergency assistance, etc., but as technology matures, security packages will increasingly become part of the autopilot package, as the security package will help automate driving. Smart Link's products and services also include vehicle management services such as fuel efficient driving, remote maintenance, and driving logs.

• Supply side technology. Supply-side technology is the foundation for connecting cars to the outside world and ensuring the smooth development of consumer services and intelligent networked automotive technology. In the past, supply-side technologies were provided by traditional suppliers, and will be provided by new technology companies in the future, or when supply companies can quickly achieve vertical integration (but integration is difficult). The supply side technology includes an advanced assisted driving system (hereinafter referred to as ADAS), a human-computer interaction interface (hereinafter referred to as HMI), information support, and ancillary services that provide intelligent networking technologies, computing, and cloud services.
