The ideal temperature for spraying ethephon is between 16 and 32 degrees Celsius. The stability of the diluted ethephon solution is deteriorated, and it should be used with the plant protection work. If it is placed for too long, the effect will be reduced.
pH
Ethephon is strongly acidic and can corrode metal containers, skin and clothing. Therefore, gloves and goggles should be worn during work. The spray system should be cleaned after work.
When the acidity of the preparation of the ethephon solution is above pH 4, it is necessary to add acid to adjust the liquid to a pH of 4 or less. It is forbidden to use the alkaline water of the alkaline drainage channel.
Diuron can not be mixed with alkaline preparations, otherwise it will reduce the effect of diuron.
