How do companies formulate effective plans for the cloud?
At the conference site, Melody Chien, research director of Gartner, foresaw the problems encountered in the enterprise cloud process while publishing the white paper. Planning is particularly important.

In 2016, Gartner made a forecast of "public cloud spending as a percentage of IT spending" for the world and China respectively. In China's public cloud IT spending, 2020 will be 4 times that of 2014, while the global growth rate is 2 times. However, the total amount of public cloud IT spending globally is higher. Gartner analyst Melody believes that in China, due to public security concerns, the use of public clouds is somewhat conservative. Therefore, in China, users using private cloud are more extensive.

According to Gartner, there are four types of private clouds, which are divided into four major categories depending on the infrastructure provider and whether the cloud platform is managed by the provider: Outsource Private Cloud, Private Cloud Hosting, Local Private Cloud Private, and Hosting Infrastructure Cloud Change.
"After choosing the right private cloud product, the company will have a viable cloud computing plan." Melody said that four important points can not be ignored: First, the need to implement the concept, that is, where the driving factors of the cloud, the challenge Where are the main steps? For the upper cloud, Melody gives a practical six steps. The first three steps are planning. To conduct internal capacity assessment, supplier selection and service modeling. Five scenarios for choosing a private cloud
According to Gartner's research on cloud computing applications in 2018, 40% of respondents stated that 80% of applications in enterprises will be placed on private clouds, and 16% of respondents stated that 60% of enterprises' applications will be placed in private clouds. It can be seen that the private cloud is very popular. So what kind of scenarios are more suitable for using private cloud? This is also the core content of the white paper jointly released by Gartner and Huayun.
Gartner lists the following five scenarios:
If the private cloud is less expensive than the public cloud service, use the private cloud service
Use private cloud services if compliance requirements are required, application requirements are tightly controlled, or risk tolerance is low
Use private cloud services if Mode 1 applications (corporate critical applications) require high agility and release frequency
If you have high application performance and SLA requirements, use private cloud services
If the IT system is a core business, it is recommended to use a private cloud for greater creativity
After careful analysis, under these five scenarios, it is more appropriate to deploy private clouds on their own.
Private cloud practice requires learning and imitation
