Making DC-DC boost circuit with 555

This circuit can realize DC boost output and does not require a transformer. The 555 integrated circuit and R1, R2 and C1 form an astable multivibrator. According to the resistance and capacitance parameters in the figure, the oscillation frequency is about 5 kHz, and it is rectified and double-voltage output through VD1 and VD2. If the input voltage VCC=12V, the output voltage is about 20V to 24V, which varies depending on the load.
